RoHS - EU Directive

Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances

(European Directive 2011/65/EU)

RoHS is aimed at reducing and preventing the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The European Directive, which replaces Directive 2002/95/EU, entered into force on 21 July 2011 and is known as RoHS II.

RoHS contains a list of restricted chemical substances that may only be used in electrical and electronic equipment if they are below the given maximum concentration values tolerated by weight in homogeneous materials.

  • Lead (0.1%)
  • Mercury (0.1%)
  • Cadmium (0.01%)
  • Hexavalent chromium (0.1%)
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (0.1%)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) (0.1%)

ERIKS is firmly committed to meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive. Company policy is designed to ensure that only RoHS-compliant products are sold.
