Kalrez® 7075: well-suited for small mechanical seals
Today the mechanical seals are getting smaller and lighter, however they are still expected to perform just as efficiently as the larger mechanical seals. For these applications the Kalrez® 7075 is a great fit, because of its low compression set, extreme high chemical and thermal resistance.
Kalrez® 7075 has smaller cross section O-rings
The even smaller mechanical seal designs, which have reduced spring force retention and reduced cross sections, demand even more of the elastomeric O-rings of the Kalrez® 7075. These O-rings are more vulnerable to compression set, therefore they can more easily reduce their functional effectiveness as well as the operability of the mechanical seal.
Use of Kalrez® 7075 in quick connector couplings
